We have had the amazing privilege to be going to Mexico with our church NEW LIFE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP for almost a year now.
Christopher greatly enjoys going to see his friends, play soccer, make crafts, and just have fun.
Alexis does really well just being involved in all the activities of the day and does really well travelling and meeting all the different kids and adults.
Jason wasnt able to come today because he had to work and our normal leaders were not able to come because they had a family birthday party.
I drove the team down. It went smoothly. It was really a good chance for me to get a different perspective on a trip I have been taking a lot now.
It was great to LEAD a team. I really wasnt a leader, a driver maybe, but mostly it was really good to as a leader consider each person on the team and see them work and serve so beautifully.
We had such an amazing group of people. I was in awe of each one of them and how God had specifically chose each one of them for this particular day. A mom and daughter was helping all the girls and guys learn to sew. There wasnt much talking going on due to some language barrier but it didnt matter because there were abundant smiles and laughs....and it reminded me of two best friend sitting on a porch swing drinking sweet tea watching the sun set....no one needed to speak...it was enjoyable to all...just because of the other persons presence.
I saw deep into the heart of a pastor who not only loves his 20 kids but has a deep desire to see his whole community of 10000 saved.
I saw a church, bare bones, but sitting high on a hill side like a bright light ready to emit the beautiful life changing message of the love of Christ
I met a pastor called to IMURIS by God to pray over the city and bring full revival. I saw a man with a dream to preach the gospel and saw his heart to help people and young kids.
I saw two men, silver in their hair, giving up their day to take measurements of buildings. Not with the motivation to repair building, but renovate lives with the gospel......to give people a sacred place to call their home, church, community center.
I saw two boys playing soccer with all the other orphanage like brothers or best friends......with different languanges, different shades of skin color...not of this matter....for these young boys were playing together because they enjoy the others company, had a mutual love for the game, and were brought together miraculously by God.
I saw a young woman, first time in Mexico, not only see with her eyes but feel deep within her heart the plight of others.....fatherless, homeless, poor individuals...and her heart desiring to do something great with this new information....and she will do GREAT THINGS.......for her heart is their heart and she leaves her heart in Mexico when she goes..............
All these things and many many more.....BLESSINGS....I am in awe of God and humbled that he lets us be a part of HIS WORK , HIS MASTERPIECE.....
This was a great day Lord thank you.

Happy Happy Happy
3 “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
4 “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5 “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
6 “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.
7 “You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for.
8 “You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
9 “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.
From the Message Bible Matthew 5:3-9
Christopher and I read this passage during devotional time today. I asked him to choose one and tell me what he though about it.
He liked verse 8. He said that you have to have your heart open to God in order to be HAPPY in this world. I added that also God wants us to see the WORLD through His eyes and in order to do that we have to have our heart right, meaning be in good relationship with Jesus, so that we can see the good in people.
Christopher said YES LIKE MISS KAY AND PHIL ROBERTSON.
Christopher is reading the HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY autobiography by DUCK DYNASTY's PATRIARCH Phil Robertson.
It is the TRUE story of his life. He got married very young in life to Miss Kay. He was very talented in football. He could have been pro. He became and teacher and coach for awhile. But life did go south for awhile and it greatly effected his wife and young boys.
He hit rock bottom ( I will let you read the story yourself)
And he brought his family with him. He was cruel to Miss Kay.
She sought the LORD. She met with a Pastor who encouraged her to own her faith. She left his office a CHRISTIAN. Phil was still a mess but she now had the faith to get through it.
That is what we all need. We all need to OWN our faith. When we have stong faith we can endure so much.
Christopher and I discussed this. He said it very well, when my parents are gone or I get older, I have to have a faith in Jesus on my own. I have to have HIM in my heart. He has to be real to me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christopher and Alexis, I pray this is true someday for both of you. I see your faith growing Christopher and I pray it continues.
We will all endure hard things in life either brought on by ourselves or others, we have to STAND on something or else we will all succumb to destruction of heart and soul. That ROCK that you choose to stand on, make it the SOLID ROCK of JESUS CHRIST.
he is your savior.
FORGET all the rules of Christianity.....they are easy....once you have faith knowing the creator of the universe loves you, wants and seeks relationship with you...will always be with you .....
As we grow in our faith we can see the WORLD through His beautiful eyes, not our jaded, sinful, broken lenses.
AMEN AND AMEN.

New Year!!!!
As a new year begins, I want to lift up a prayer for my beautiful family. God has abundantly blessed me with 2 great kids and a longsuffering husband.
I am slowly trying to teach Alexis about the LORD. I think the way a 2 year old learns about the LORD is by her parents actions towards her. I want to POUR love on her. When she cries, I want to scoop her up and flood her with kisses and hugs and make her heart feel safe and loved. When she is happy, I want to share in her joy.
I have been reciting a prayer with her at bedtime.
Lord Jesus, thank you for this day with my beautiful daughter. Keep her healthy.. Thank you for her smiles and her kisses. Lord help me and her dad love you and each other so much that she knows you and knows love. Thank you for her brother. Make her strong and healthly. Thank you for the blessing of another day with our precious angel. Keep her good dreams and peace in her heart and mind. AMEN.
She loves prayer time at meal time.
Christopher and I love our devotion time together. I love this season of life. He is really starting to dig into his faith and ask some great questions. Today he asked me WHAT LANGUAGE does GOD SPEAK? We also were talking about what the BIBLE is like......the BIBLE is like a FLASHLIGHT WHEN YOU ARE LOST IN THE WOODS? (i think there is a verse about that christopher, psalm 119)
Christopher is putting the WORD in his heart and its cool to see him learn scripture. He will be heading to LAS VEGAS at the end of the month to compete with his BIBLE QUIZZING team at ORO VALLEY NAZARENE CHURCH. We are so proud of him and his efforts.
Here are some of our prayers for the new year:
1. Help us as a married couple to be solid and faithful to each other spiritually. We need to uplift the other in a spiritual manner more. We need to continue to build our friendship and love around the amazing GOD who brought us together in the first place.
2, We need to find quality moments with our kids individually to build solid relationships. They are getting so old and growing up TOO fast. We want to create special moments with each child individually so they feel loved by us and know its from a GREAT SOURCE>
3. For Alexis to begin to grasp an understanding of who Jesus is and HIS STORY.
4. For Christopher and his missionary calling that we can support his calling.
5. To build better relationships with extended family so that our kids grow up knowing that they have TONS of people that love them and support them.
6. Continue as a family to serve GOD, the church, his people, and the lost.
