Life Lessons for our son.

On Friday I spoke with Christopher's teacher because he had to write a think sheet because he made a girl feel bad at school. She was convinced she was cold blooded and Christopher being his scientist self wanted to make sure that she was corrected. However this really hurt her feelings and also he did not handle well the correction from his teacher.
This opened up doors for life lessons.
I told him  I was disappointed in his actions because we bear the name of Christ and we are to show love to our neighbors at all times.
I could tell he was sorry. But I asked him to spend time in the WORD and find verses that could help him with this situation.  Christopher is just getting comfortable reading and he has never really just sat down and look into the WORD. I give him or church teachers give him verses, but this was one of the first times he actually sat down and really looked into the WORD. These are some of the verses he found. We are going to do devotion time with these for the next few days.
(1 peter 4)
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
(James 2)
My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”[a]you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11 For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,”[b] also said, “You shall not murder.”[c] If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom,13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful.Mercy triumphs over judgment.
(John 3:16)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believesin him will not be lost  but have eternal life.
He made the statement, Mom, are you surprised I found these verses? I thought for a minute and told him "no" because God was speaking to him through the WORD. He has always been telling me he wants to hear JESUS, now he knows that if he seeks God in the WORD he will feel his presence. So even though the circumstance that came up for his at school was not pleasant (its always hard for a mom to hear that her son is not acting nice) but it really opened a door for some major spiritual growth and I hope for more lessons like this
God we give you our son Christopher Adrian Molander. We pray he really seeks you and loves you and your children. We know you have great plans for him. We love him so much.
THANK YOU SO MUCH LORD FOR SPEAKING TO HIM. I know how important it is to have GOD time and really feel your presence to make a life long impact. Keep teaching him through these life lessons.

What do you invest in?

Jason and I know how important it is to invest into the lives of our children. We will never be rich or have lots of money to set aside to invest into stocks...but our children we can richly bless through JESUS by pouring into their lives in different ways. We have been blessed to be able to be flexible with life and we were able to come to IOWA for a month this summer to seek God spend family time together and with extended family...its been so great. We treasure all the little moments. We love our kids and it just makes us more aware of how INTENTIONAL we need to be about teaching and demonstrating the word to them. Christopher is already 10 and Alexis is almost 3. They are learning so much everyday and have such great presonalities...we want them also to develop spiritually and KNOW JESUS...not just go to church....LORD THIS is our prayer. Help us know howto do this more and more.

GLO team and what do you SEE?

GLO team- Global and Local Outreach TEAM Proposal

A GLO team member is someone is dedicated to a life long journey of faith and commited to fulfilling the Great Commission in their communities and across the waters.

A GLO team leader is passionate about spurring others on in their faith to become globally minded Christians and fulfill their divinely appointed Great Commission calling locally and worldwide.

As a Christian we are all called to MISSIONS: each with our own specific calling: some are called to pray, give, go, encourage, host and receive.

As a GLO team leader, the leader should be passionate about providing and facilitating opportunities for the church body to become more functional in the global body of Christ.

Define MISSIONS:  Proclaim the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ in works and words, make disciples of all nations with healthy partnerships that cross cultural, language and geographic boundaries and with the help of the  HOLY SPIRIT walk with  our brothers and sister in the LORD  to facilitiate transformation of individual heart and whole communities, turning hearts towards our Savior.

GLO team members have a burden to see God's Kingdom advance.
GLO team members see the world as their neighborhood.

What does the GLO team leader and team do:
1. Worship together so that we may be more and more aligned with God and what He is willing.
2. Pray and intercede for the needs and praises of the global church, for the missionaries, and for the lost. To lift in prayer the joys and pains of all our neighbors and brethren.
3. Recognize the gifts and talents of congregation as we send them out on short term endeavors with long term impact.
4. Endeavor to develop deeper level relationships with one another.
5. Participate and contribute to the local and global mission opportunities.
 6. Spur on the body to be involved in missions and provide training and support for mission opportunities.

 Missions Leadership Team Responsibilities
  • Organize and operate a missions leadership team
  • Develop a missions strategy and provide leadership for missions in the church
  • Assist church leaders in obeying the Great Commission
  • Make policies and procedures for operation of the missions ministry
  • Plan the church's missions ministry
  • Develop prayer support
  • Develop and administer the missions budget
  • Assist in developing missions stewardship
  • Educate the congregation in missions
  • Carry out suitable promotion and awareness of missions; plan an annual missions week, month, or event
  • See that missionaries are cared for and supported
  • Equip and enable individuals for personal involvement
  • Conduct missions trips
  • Recruit and help prepare missionary candidates from the congregation
  • Serve as a liaison with individuals sent and supported
  • Develop relationships with our denomination missions leaders
  • Serve as a liaison with mission agencies
What we want to see and what we want to be a part of:
To make Christ known among all nations by equipping
indigenous leaders and planting
reproducing churches which will be salt and light at all levels within their culture.

We see a church so in love with Christ that they
are no longer comfortable with the
fleeting American Dream, rather they are gripped by
a vision to fulfill the Great
Commission.
We see a church passionate for the nations, living
and giving generously to fulfill
the Great Commission.
We see our own sons and daughters going to the end
s of the earth as short-term
and career missionaries.
We see every member of our church empowered to fulfill a personal life mission in the world.
We see unreached people trusting in Christ, becoming disciples, leaders,
missionaries and pastors.
We see formerly unreached peoples reaching the remaining unreached peoples.
We see churches being planted at the ends of the earth where Christ is treasured,
His Word is being taught by well-trained indigenouspastors, and people are being transformed by the power of God.
We see nations being overturned by the love of Christ.
We see things so wondrous they can’t be explained.

Strong Foundations and a Woman of Great Faith/Family lessons learned in MEXICO

My family has had the privilege to travel monthly on visits/ missions to an orphanage/ community center in Imuris Sonora Mexico over the past year. Artuto and Lilia and all the kids are like our family now. We have learned so much about faith, missions, and love from them this past year. They graciously let our church mission team come and visit them each month. They are beautiful people and we love them so much.
As many of you know I was adopted from an orphanage in Mexico when I was a baby. I would have been so fortunate to have foster parents like them. I have adopted them as my MEXICAN family since I do not know my own. I love ministering with them. I also love ministering and building a friendship with Stefanie and David Rodriguez our mission team leaders from New Life Bible Fellowship. We have become true brothers and sisters in the LORD on these Saturdays.

8.
So I would just like to share a few testimonies correlating to these pictures:

1. Matthew 21:16 "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, "'From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise'?"
I have watched Christopher grow to love the LORD more through our times in Mexico. He gets faith because to him faith has arms and legs....faith is about sharing and serving and loving. I am thankful to KIDS KINGDOM for trusing children to share the word of GOD. The KIDS KINDGDOM kids are full of praise...they love to dance for the LORD and before the LORD. They love to serve us when we visit and they love to serve each other.....they are beautiful children....though many of them have come from a very hard life....they give of themselves. They look to REACH OUT....they are missionaries in their town, barrio and beyond......
2. Benjamin HIll- what a perfect name for a church.....Arturo and Lilia had a dream to create a place for another neighboring community (1 hour away from KK) to have a church.....so that the church could come together and fellowship together.
Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
Benjamin is exactly this. Arturo and Alejandro tell us that this is a town of great poverty and a lot of violence and drug activity......a place desperate for JESUS......so they have partner with another pastor and started to build a church for the people to come and learn about a SAVIOR.....Beautiful ministry is happening in this church....a church with no roof (yet) but with a strong foundation.
3. Matthew 7:24-27 24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
This house will never fall down for it was BUILT WITH GREAT FAITH, PRAYER, and in unity of two pastors and their families with a passion to see the LOST SAVED!!!AMEN.
4. matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Yes! We go into these communities that have little and we always bring food, but the truth is we do not merely bring food only for the flesh. We partner with KIDS KINGDOM monthly to bring bread that will eternally satisfy.
John 4:10-14
Jesus answered, “If you knew the generosity of God and who I am, you would be asking me for a drink, and I would give you fresh, living water.”
11-12 The woman said, “Sir, you don’t even have a bucket to draw with, and this well is deep. So how are you going to get this ‘living water’? Are you a better man than our ancestor Jacob, who dug this well and drank from it, he and his sons and livestock, and passed it down to us?”
13-14 Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again and again. Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst—not ever. The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life.”
Jesus came to quench our spiritual thirst!!!The mission of IMURIS KIDS KINGDOM is that all might experience the fountain of life!!!
These beautiful kids will be blessed with bread and water not only for their bodies but for their soul when THEY MEET JESUS!!!!!!!!!

5. KIDS KINGDOM HOUSE!!!This is the orphanage and community center.
I love Arturo and Lilia. They love their kids and they teach their children about the LORD every moment they can.

Joshua 24:15

New International Version (NIV)
15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

6. Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
Here are the children of Imuris Kids Kingdom and the the missionaries of New Life Bible Fellowship worshipping the LORD together as they will one do again together  in heaven FOREVER....once you have the LOVE of JESUS in your heart and you realize what he has done for us...you cannot help but PRAISE THE LORD with arms lifted high!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7. Mark 5:25-34 5 A woman suffering from bleeding for 12 years 26 had endured much under many doctors. She had spent everything she had and was not helped at all. On the contrary, she became worse. 27Having heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His robe. 28 For she said, "If I can just touch His robes, I'll be made well!" 29 Instantly her flow of blood ceased, and she sensed in her body that she was cured of her affliction. 30 At once Jesus realized in Himself that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My robes?"31 His disciples said to Him, "You see the crowd pressing against You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?' " 32 So He was looking around to see who had done this. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came with fear and trembling, fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth. 34 "Daughter," He said to her, "your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be free from your affliction." The same story also found in Matthew 9:18-22

Just a Touch

18-19 As he finished saying this, a local official appeared, bowed politely, and said, “My daughter has just now died. If you come and touch her, she will live.” Jesus got up and went with him, his disciples following along.
20-22 Just then a woman who had hemorrhaged for twelve years slipped in from behind and lightly touched his robe. She was thinking to herself, “If I can just put a finger on his robe, I’ll get well.” Jesus turned—caught her at it. Then he reassured her: “Courage, daughter. You took a risk of faith, and now you’re well.” The woman was well from then on.

This is a testimony I must tell: Newlife went as a team to Benjamin Hill to have a childrens church and meet the pastor. God was moving in the service. Alejandro preached, Arturo and the pastor of Benjamin Hill shared, the girls of Kids Kingdom danced, and Arturo and other worship pastor sang......people started coming in and sitting on a singular bench, but most hung out back...watching and observing the service. I spotted a woman dressed in a maroon sweatshirt and pants. I felt the spirit speak to me when I saw her....as did many others from the KIDS KINGDOM and NEW LIFE as we all later discussed. She hung out in the back for a while. Something was strongly written on her face.......service continued....we all sang and worshipped.
I am not usually prone to public speaking or last minute preaching...but I asked Arturo if I could share a word......I began to tell this ABOVE story of a woman....who sought just a touch.....one touch of the hem of HER SAVIORS garment.....a chance at a blessing and answered prayer.......with great faith she moved forward.....
The woman in maroon was no sitting inside the church holding her little baby.
Another woman was standing at the altar accepting the LORD in her heart....
I meekly began speaking....GOD GAVE ME A WORD TO SHARE....with someone here.....I didnt allude to who....
I shared this story.....passionately...with tears in my eyes....and then ARTURO translated....we were one in this....he said in spanish what I said in english....because I was even struggling getting the words out in english....because it was of the spirit....and he added on to what I said...with passion and fire...because he was hearing it too......the WORD FROM THE LORD for this one child of GOD......
Later the pastor of Benjamin Hill, Alejandro and another man came running up to me......we have the woman who you were talking about...she wants you to pray for her....she is right there....and in my heart I already knew who it was....but I waited to make sure...as they led me to LUPITA....the woman dressed in maroon....IS THE LORD SPEAKING TO YOU? DO you know he loves you? She nodded...Can I pray for you? LORD heal her, give her power...and more words flowed that came straight from heaven into her soul...at that moment I knew I was only the vessel.....then my friend Yolanda pressed in for more.....how can we pray for you.....LUPITA said.....Ive been bleeding....for a long time...and the doctors dont know why....Something is wrong with my uterus....they dont know how to treat me.....( do you know how I was feeling hearing this, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I came here today because a friend invited me.....but I wasnt sure....so I stood outside....but then I felt God presence....and I wanted him to hear my prayer so I came closer.....then you started talking.......
WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THAT DEAR FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW GOD IS SO GOOD. LUPTIA you are a great woman of faith. I pray for your healing. I pray you experience GOD more and more each day...and I am thankful that now you have a church to go to to learn more about HIM.
8. My little Lexi with her friends!!!!!!!!I love this picture because I am blessed to go to a church NEW LIFE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP that allows me to teach my children about serving GOD AND others in a real and tangible way. THEY are learning a faith that is real....tangible....through the friendships they make and everything they experience in MEXICO are building blocks even for my 2 year old daughter to learn that they is a great GOD above who LOVES each one of us and is passionately pursuing us.........my daughter is a blessing to me...a reminder of HIS GREAT LOVE....and I pray that this time we spend in MExico as a family will be a foundation of great ministries in the future for my children...not just Jason and I...that they will have a heart to serve and no nothing else but when you love JESUS you LOVE others...and our world is much bigger than our home.....HIS church reaches all people groups and countries.....I love my little missionary babies.
Proverbs 22:6 NIV
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

I WANT TO THANK LILIA AND ARTURO FOR WELCOMING US INTO YOUR FAMILY AND LETTING US MINISTER WITH YOU. I WANT TO THANK STEFANIE AND DAVID RODRIGUEZ FOR MAKING MEXICO A PRIORITY IN THEIR LIVES AND LEADING TEAMS EVERY MONTH SO MY FAMILY CAN GO AND SERVE TOGETHER. I THANK NEWLIFE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP FOR PARTNERING WITH THIS GREAT MINISTRY TO BLESS THEM BUT ALSO TO BLESS THOSE WHO GO FROM THE CHURCH. THANK YOU PASTOR GREG FOR LOVING OTHER PASTORS AND SEEING THAT PARTNERING TOGETHER FOR KINGDOM WORK IS ALWAYS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Mexico and Christophers skit

As a family we have been so blessed to serve in Mexico with NEW LIFE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP over the past year monthly in Imuris at Kid's Kingdom.

This past month Christopher really wanted to do something. He was going to do a skit but at the last minute he got a little shy about doing it and he wanted to do a skit with me. So we found some Spanish Christian Music and prayerfully came up with a meaningful skit.

The story was basically a mom sharing the gospel with her son. He was wearing a black shirt. He was lost in sin and lost in general. His mom begins to read the WORD and it is revealed to her that there is a redemptive story. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. The son changes his shirt to a red shirt. But the story is not over. The mom discovers the Bible verse John 3:16. They both realize that they are sinners, they realize Jesus came to die for them, and they realize that they can be made new and white as snow. The son jumps up in excitement and he removes that red shirt and there he stands with a big heart in the middle of his chest with a white shirt on. I hope the symbolism is evident.

Christopher ministering to his brothers and sisters in Mexico amazed me. During our devotional time tonight, we talked about what it means to put Jesus first in your life...I asked him to tell me what that looks like....He responded quickly...Putting Jesus first means, doing what he did, and serve others, like we do in Mexico....except it doesnt feel like serving....they are just all my friends and I love seeing them. I LOVE THIS BOY! CANT WAIT TO SEE as GOD UNFOLDS his future ministry and calling. amen! K.

I am so thankful to be a mom. I have the best kids. I have so much to be thankful for. Jason and I are so blessed.

Soccer Application

Today  I  stood on the side lines as a parent instead of coach. Ive had the privilege of coaching a middle school team at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy over the past three months. Our B team only lost won game and our A team was undefeated and won the championship last night.  It was a great experience and I hope to be able to coach more soccer, track, cross country, basketball in the future.

Christopher came to several practices with me. He also participated in scrimmages and drills several times. Christopher and I often go outside and play on the green grass outside of our apartment...(rare in Tucson)...play a little possession or 1v1. I could see his skills increasing greatly everyday.

Today I witnessed him dribbling, passing, marking up and making 2 of 2 team goals. It was beautiful. Very athletic and impressive.

But the true application of this.....the LIFE LESSON.......KIDS FOLLOW YOUR ACTIONS, NOT YOUR WORDS....

At practice, I really didn't give much verbal instruction to Christopher because he was just there to play and have fun. I wanted him to develop a love for the game and also just to see kids a little older than him doing something great and honoring God with their abilities.

I dont think I ever sat down and explained the rules of the game or gave names to specific drills for him......

And yet today he performed as though he had been in league for 10 years......why?

Because Christopher was watching.....he was watching the DRILLS, he was watching PK's, he was watching the corner kicks, he was watching/ learning the positions, he was watching the players.......he was studying the game by watching.......

And in watching the players and watching the coaches's techniques, he picked up some amazing skills.......

SO you can coach your kids with your words, standing on the sideline TELLING them to pass the ball, telling them to shoot the ball, telling them to cross the field....................OR...you can get on the field with them and just play the game together.......let them watch you and learn from your moves....(and your fumbles.)......I choose the second

In other words, you can coach your kids with your words of DO THIS, DONT DO THAT....or you can just be in the game of life with them...set the standard and example with your actions...not your words....because that is what they will IMITATE.....and REPEAT.....

WAY TO GO CHRISTOPHER!

With all my love, I am so proud and honored to be your mom and be Alexis' mom.
You are becoming an amazing kid and young man everyday...

PS I also loved to watch you play today with ALL YOUR HEART....you put so much passion out there....I am going to love to watch you every game and every practice....as you put it all out there....

Thanks for being an athlete and a star....
