Transition to blessings

We moved to Tucson and found ourselves without jobs. We had some promising prospects but nothing was working out. We used the last of our money reserves to pay our bills and pay for an extended stay hotel. When those funds were completely depleted we ended up living in a family shelter for two weeks. We ate at "soup kitchens" almost every night of the week and went to church as frequently as we could just to stay focused on Him and not fall into depression for lack of work and funds. We had some amazing family time though. Being HOMELESS was not too much of a stretch for us though because we had been homeless practically all summer staying in tents and churches for our mission trip. It didn't bother Christopher or Alexis at all. I broke down at church during worship a few times just hoping the jobs would come in so I could feed my kids. We met some amazing men and women. Resilient. Stoic. Faithful. Strong. We also met some angels. At these churches that served meals we met these simple men and women serving.....loving....just doing as God had ask them to do. Our faith grew alot. Our faith was given wings. Breath. Life. Christopher has an unshakable faith. Tonight he told me WOW GOD HAS WORK SO MUCH THIS YEAR. Then he stated all the things God has been doing in our lives...all true. I don't regret the last few months at all. I dont regret all the great real people we met who have a heart to serve those less fortunate than themselves and by doing so have taken a rather smaller salary, status etc in this world. One of the workers at the shelter lives there everyday fixing toilets, changing light bulbs, greeting new people, and never hardly leaves except to take the occasional motorcycle ride. At one church, they pack everyone in a small dining room and feed all the people, with all their unique street smells, pray before each meal and then serve each person the biggest plate of food ever.
We have been going to a great Church called Pantano Christian Church and on November 8-11 we are going to Mexico with them to help build homes for people who otherwise do not have any. How crazy to go from homeless to providing homes for people without. ONLY GOD COULD DO A MIRACLE LIKE THAT. I am so glad we are back in Tucson. I am excited to see how He is going to work and prepare our future but Iam so enjoyingthe journey we are on right now and seeing how what is is doing TODAY. I see him working every single day in our lives and in my heart.
